WALKING THE COURSES
I would like to take this opportunity to express my full support and admiration to Richard Farquhar, as he now enters the final stages on his epic voyage of “Walking the Courses”.
Richard set of from Newmarket on the 20th March last year heading for Towcester Racecourse. His journey then headed north of the border to take in Perth and Musselburgh. Richard is due back at Newmarket in time for the Craven meeting in late April, having walked to every racecourse in the country.
Richard’s father was a stable lad and later a stud hand before he lost his battle with pancreatic cancer in 2012. It is a more than fitting tribute for Richard to be raising funds for both Pancreatic Cancer & Racing Welfare. Currently the fund raising total stands at a fantastic £312,139.
If you have not already donated, please consider the sacrifice he and his family have made over the past 13 months in support of these charities.
