THE SALES SEASON
It’s hard to believe that I’m already preparing for the Yearling Sales, with Deauville this weekend kicking the season off in style. As always I’ll be working in partnership with Alex Elliott to secure orders for existing owners. I’ll also be buying a number on spec for syndication within the yard.
As is always the case, the Deauville sale will be fiercely competitive and I’m not expecting to fill my order book. I’ll be delighted if I return home on Monday with only one. After Deauville the action moves to Doncaster, where last year I purchased four. In all probability, this year I’ll also head out to Keeneland, whilst the fall in the pound has not helped my cause, there is always value to be had in the turf pedigrees.
The sales then move on to Ireland before culminating at Tattersalls in October. It is an incredibly busy time with the turf season in full swing, preparation is key and it’s fair to say a sales catalogue won’t be far from my side in the coming weeks.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch should you require any further information on potential syndicates or sole ownership.
