BUSY WEEK AHEAD
Imperial State kicks off a busy few days for the team at Newcastle this evening. After disappointing on very fast ground at Redcar last time, I gave him a short break and have prepared him with this race in mind. A straight mile on the All Weather should suit him well and I’d be hopeful that he won’t be far away this evening, although he's still to prove himself in this grade.
Saxagogo has also travelled to Newcastle, a track she won at in July. She runs on Saturday evening and rising apprentice Adam McNamara takes off a handy 5lb. I’ve stepped her back up to 6f after she found everything happening a little too quickly at Wolverhampton last time.
Cacica will most likely take up her engagement at Chelmsford. She won in good style last week at Wolverhampton and I’d therefore hope she'll continue on an upward curve ahead of being offered at the horses in training sale.
The ground will be the deciding factor for both Forest Lakes and Dominate running next week, whilst Mr Black will return to the track on Tuesday at Wolverhampton, he quickened up nicely to win in good style at Kempton recently.
