TWO YEAR OLDS GET ROLLING
The past 10 days has seen us introduce a couple of two year olds to the track. I was delighted with both of them.
Starboy, missed the break and made up a lot of ground in the early part of the race, finishing a close up 5th at Windsor. He is sure to improve and we could see him back on the track as early as next week.
Magic Applause was a relatively inexpensive breeze up purchase. However, she ran a fantastic race at the first time of asking at Leicester, finishing 4th after being slightly marooned on the outside of the track. Whilst the winner and the placed horses came up the near side. She too could be seen on the track again next week.
Along with these horse I have two or three more two year olds to introduce to the racecourse next week. Considering the way the first two have run, we have lots to look forward.
Things are starting to hot up here at Saffron House. I was delighted to secure a stunning son of Dabarisim from Deauville Breeze Ups and also an exciting private purchase from Ireland.
It’s very much the season of hopes and expectations as we still have 25-30 unraced horses. The team are in good form and I’m very much looking forward to the challenges ahead.
