Both James Garfield and Another Batt represented the yard in the Windsor Castle on Tuesday.

James was drawn on the far side and although played up slightly at the start due to inexperience ran a magnificent race to chase home Charlie Appleby’s duo to finish and excellent third. He is still very much a work in progress, it’s clear to see he has a huge amount of talent and I look forward to harnessing that as we step up to 6f next time out.

Another Batt was slightly unfortunate being drawn so close to the stands side rail. The action unfolded down the centre of the track and as result was rather marooned on his own. Despite this he ran a creditable race. He too will be stepped up in trip and I’ve no doubt there is plenty more to come.

On a sadder note Gilgamesh picked up an injury late on Wednesday and could not run in the Britannia. The issue won’t be cured overnight, but I have an excellent team in place to help get him back on the track.
