Strawberry Jack opened his account in great style at Yarmouth, under a power pack ride from James Doyle. I was delighted for his owners as he’s been so consistent without winning this year. The handicapper reacted particularly harshly raising him 8lbs, which is going to make life more difficult. However, he’s a horse that loves his racing and seems to be improving.
Another excitement over the last few days, was Raahy’s debut at Doncaster. He broke smartly and found himself in front only to be collared late on by a couple of horses that had previously run. He was only beaten half a length and looks be a horse with a bright future. I will now work back from the Goffs UK Premier Yearling Stakes race at York.
We have a busy few days ahead with runners at Leicester, Haydock, Goodwood, Bath and Windsor. I’m particularly looking forward getting Lyndon B back on the track. He’s a horse that seems to be improving and could end up in some nice races later in the year.
