Unbelievably Glorious Goodwood is already upon us. I’m certainly not the only person who loves this meeting. Not only is the track beautiful it’s a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. We were lucky enough to have a winner there in my first season training and we will be looking to try and double the tally this year. I hope to send a nice team down, with Raahy being our best chance. He’s been freshened up since Lingfield with the Molcombe stakes always being the plan.
Lyndon B has gained confidence from his win at Leicester, he’ll drop back to 7f. Moll Davis is improving the whole time, it’s a possibility she could come back to 1m2f for a fillies’ handicap on Wednesday. Although she will be off a light weight, I can see her being competitive.
On Thursday we have Dragon Command, who was a little unlucky at York last time out, failing to get a run at crucial time in the race. The ground was on the fast side for him that day too. I’m expecting him to leave that form behind stepping up to 7f.
Concierge drops back to 5f for the first time since his two-year-old career. He’s now off a mark of 92 which he could easily be competitive off.
Luisa Zissman has worked incredibly hard ahead of her ride for us on Phosphorescence in the Magnolia Cup. She’ll have a willing partner in our yard favourite. The start will be crucial in a tactical affair!
