Moll Davis confirmed that she’s a very progressive filly, by winning with plenty in hand at Doncaster last Saturday. She travelled smoothly and put the race to bed in a matter of strides. The handicapper certainly agreed raising her 13lbs. She’ll now tackle Listed company, most likely the John Musker stakes at Yarmouth in the middle of September. Her sire Kingman could hardly be hotter right now, I would be very hopeful that Moll Davis could end up in Group company next year.
The sales season is in full swing, I was delighted to secure a daughter of Lope de Vega in Deauville. She has the same cross as the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf winner Newspaperofrecord, being by Lope de Vega out of a Holy Roman Emperor mare.
I’ve just returned from Doncaster sales, where we picked up six or seven yearlings. Very exciting.
